During the height of the sexual revolution in the 1960's, college student Katie is visiting her sister (Barbara) and brother-in-law (Bob). Katie thinks Barbara is an old stick-in-the-mud and needs to loosen up - specifically in regards to sex. To prove her point, she first seduces Bob, who greedily takes advantage of the sexy sister-in-law, and then she pulls her sister in to a drunken and marijuana-high orgy with some of her friends. Barbara realizes how much she actually enjoys the wild, wanton sex.
Because she enjoys it so much, the two pull Bob into the next orgy. Both Bob and Barbara discover how much they love watching each other have sex with other people and how they feel it brings them closer together.
Katie drives off and picks up two male hitchhikers because she's looking for some fun. She gets more than she bargained for. She is very attracted to the meeker, Billy, but the aggressive Jeff forces himself on Katie. When she manages to leave, she takes Billy with her, leaving Jeff cursing in the weeds.
Sex with Billy is much greater than Katie imagined and despite her modern beliefs in sex and relationships, she finds she has fallen in love with Billy and wants to spend all her time with him and have sex with him only.
Honestly, the main reason I wanted to read this book, other than an interest in erotica, is because of that awesome cover art.
The story is very clearly a product of the 1960's. Liberal use of the word "groovy" is only a small indication of this. The whole sexual revolution mores of college-aged students is epitomized here.
Ultimately this is literary porn, geared toward a male reader. Graphic descriptions of sexual acts and body parts runs throughout. But there is actually a story here, unlike a lot of more modern literary porn. In fact, I found this to have more of a story than a lot of 'erotica' - modern literary porn targeting female readers - with about equal amount of sex.
This was pretty much what I was expecting, and therefore what I was looking for. Some sexy reading fun, with enough story to keep me interested.
