I was mildly curious to read what got people (women) into stripping. Based on these five stories, their experiences vary. Only one seemed to get into the business because of an abusive past. The others got into it because of the money and their willingness to take of their clothes in order to make that money.
The one thing that they seemed to have in common was recognizing how the industry has changed with the availability of online porn. From men being ruder and more aggressive to tips being smaller.
The majority of these women indicated that they stuck to stripping and did NOT fall into the path of prostitution, busting a perpetual myth about strippers.
This was a short, quick read and did not offer a lot of deep thinking. This is probably of more interest to those who study sociology.
