I didn't really know what I was going to get with this book, but that cover looked like a classic grindhouse type of story. And, yeah, that's pretty much what I got.
In some sort of Dystopian future there's been a battle of the sexes - between the Janes and the Dicks. The Dicks have been banished, but there are always a few trying to worm their way back into society. Enter Roku, a genetically designed woman who hunts out men and kills them.
She is currently undercover in a school for Matrons where there's rumor that men can be found. Roku is an attractive girl and some of the school's leaders have taken a shine to her and introduce her to their society, where lots of unusual sex can happen. Well, she's under cover, so she has to go along with it.
There's a lot of story - much more than I was expecting, and the world building is fantastic. And of course there's sex. Lots of sex. Some pretty darned kinky sex.
Also, you gotta love a sleaze book that has chapters with titles like: Steely Dan, Bettie Page, Cabaret, and Moll Flanders. I mean, this sounds like an author I'd get along with in real life!
I really, really liked this. I was surprised by it but found it exciting and well-thought out. Yes, it's self-published and there are the usual typos and grammatical errors that would have been caught by a good editor, but for what it is, I thought this was top notch.
