A young (but of legal age) woman is devout in her religion and has promised to save herself for marriage. But she's begun to grow curious and has been fooling around with a boy, who just happens to be the son of a church deacon.
The deacon and his cronies accuse the girl of being wanton and insist that she's not a virgin and trying to lead the boys on. In front of the church priest, the girl swears she's still a virgin. The deacons insist that her virginity be proved and they will check her out themselves. The priest asserts himself and says that HE will inspect the young woman - right there, right now. They may be in the room, but they will not witness her sex directly.
With great care and apologies to the girl, the (HANDSOME) priests has her remove her panties, sit on his desk and open her legs to him. He inserts his finger gently to discover her hymen is still intact. He declares this to the men gathered and insists that they leave.
Once gone, the girl and the priest realize how much this moment turned them both on and they both want it to go further until she surrenders her virginity to him.
This was so tremendously well written. A great setting with anger and fear and the girl feeling so small in a room full of dirty men.
The build-up was tremendous. Her being inspected by the man who really turned her on, but while being judged by the other men was simply superb. We really got to feeling all the confused emotions she was feeling.
Even the jump to the sex seemed so perfectly in line with everything that had happened up to that point. Plotwise it made perfect sense.
I will read this again and I will look for anything ever written by Emme Cox!
